 HTML Customization (Misc Info Tab)
It's from the HTML customization screen where you control the appearance of the web pages that RoboPhoto creates. You can access this screen from various places in the program, including clicking on the 'Edit' button when specifying an HTML customization file. Banner Image Click the 'Open' button to specify a banner image to display at the top of each web page. Note: most free web hosting providers (like Tripod), automatically insert banners on your web pages. If that's the case, you probably don't want to specify one here. The banner information is used for the <!--Banner--> tag in the HTML template files. Back to the top Banner Link URL If a banner image is specified and if the user clicks on it, this link will be loaded. This link should point to the web site associated with the banner. Back to the top Banner Text If a banner image is specified, this text will display when the user moves the mouse over the image. This should be a short line of text that entices the user to click on the banner. For example, it could be 'Click here for a great deal!', 'Visit our sponsor', or something similar. Back to the top Banner Link Target When a user clicks on the banner, the associated URL will be loaded in this browser window. Typically, you should specify '_blank' to cause the web page to be loaded into a new browser window. If your web page uses frames and if you want the link to appear in a specific frame, type the frame name in the box. This might be 'middleframe' or whatever. Other possible values include: _self - loads the URL in the current browser window. _parent - loads the URL into the parent of the current browser window. _top - loads the URL in the topmost window Back to the top Thumbnail Link Target Like the banner link target, when someone clicks on a thumbnail image, the full size image will be displayed in the window specified here. If your HTML template files use frames, you should normally type the frame name (such as 'middleframe') into this box. If frames are not used, you should normally load the image into the same window as the thumbnail table by selecting '_self'. The thumbnail table information is used for the <!--ThumbnailTable--> tag in the HTML template files. Back to the top Table Border Width The outer edge of the thumbnail table and individual images can have a 3-D border. This option allows you to specify the width, in pixels, of the border. 5 is usually a good choice. Specify zero if you don't want a border. Normally, when no border is used, you should also specify nonzero values for the cell padding and cell spacing - that will prevent the borderless thumbnail images from touching each other. Back to the top Table Cell Padding Specify the cell padding, in pixels, of the thumbnail table. The thumbnail table consists of a grid of cells, much like a spreadsheet. Within each cell is a thumbnail image. The cell padding is the distance between the outer edge of the thumbnail image and the inner edge of the cell that contains it. Back to the top Table Cell Spacing Specify the cell spacing, in pixels, of the thumbnail table. The thumbnail table consists of a grid of cells, much like a spreadsheet. The cell spacing is the distance between the outer edge of each cell within the table. Back to the top Force Thumbnail Grid The maximum width of the thumbnail table is specified in the main program settings. This option allows you to easily override those settings and force the thumbnail grid to be either a single column or a single row. For example, you would want to force a single column if your HTML template files use a left/right frame scheme where the user clicks on a thumbnail in the left frame with the full size image displaying in the right frame. Force a single row if you use a top/bottom frame scheme. Back to the top Header File Click the 'Open' button to select a text or HTML file to display at the top of each web page. This is used for the <!--HtmlHeaderFile--> tag in the HTML template files. Back to the top Footer File Click the 'Open' button to select a text or HTML file to display at the bottom of each web page. This is used for the <!--HtmlFooterFile--> tag in the HTML template files. Back to the top Save Click this button to save the current settings to an HTML customization file. HTML customization files are saved in the main RoboPhoto directory and have an .HCF extension. When creating a web page, you can specify the .HCF file you want to use. You can automate the HCF file selection by using the UseSameNameHcfFile Misc Option. Click here for an example. If no .HCF files exist at program startup, a default one is created named sample.hcf. Back to the top Thumbnails Click this button to go direct to the thumbnail configuration screen in the main program settings. Back to the top Help Click this button to load the help file.
